We
are the Caffee family, Ben and Samantha and our three children Molly,
Timothy, and Madeline. Ben is a firefighter/paramedic, part time farmer,
oldest child of twelve children, and one of the most loving fathers you
could ever know. I am a stay at home, homeschooling mama that loves to
sew, crochet, embroider, and cook. We are a part of a big Southern
family whose main focus are the little people in our lives! Our children are truly the most precious gifts God has ever given us. Ben and I planned to have a house full of (biological) children when we first got married, but God had another plan for our lives. We always thought that, just like many others in our family, we would be able to have as many children as we wanted, but that was not our calling. It’s not what God wanted for us. After three pre-term deliveries, two miscarriages, and a long battle with infertility, God opened our hearts to adoption.
Infertility, as it turns out, may have been one of the best things that
ever happened to us.
Of course
we didn’t see it that way at the time, but God has so transformed our
hearts! We now know that God has other children for us! He has children
that He has handpicked from conception to be ours to love and cherish!
The Bible says “Before
I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you
apart”
Jeremiah 1:5. We are captivated by this,
and we are trusting God every day to lead us to those precious children
he has "handmade" just for us. We are now in the process of adopting a sibling group from Bulgaria. There is long road ahead of us yet, but we know God will be with us every step of the way. We look forward to the day we are able to bring our precious children home to stay!
